Wall decor with Light Sand 13 mix and 5 mm. gravel

Table of contents

Create this accent wall in your home with Light Sand 13 and 5 mm gravel.

Before plastering, prime the surface with quartz primer. Then prepare the mix to this stiff consistency. Weigh 30% of the 5 mm gravel and pour it into the mix. Mix everything well with a construction mixer until smooth.

Prepare the tools for plastering. You will need a trowel and a stainless steel trowel. Choose the size of the trowel individually according to convenience and the area to be plastered.

Apply the plaster in a plastic motion, spreading the mixture evenly over the plastered area. After plastering about 3-5 squares, before the surface has dried out, take a roller moistened with water, wring out the excess water and press the roller to start rolling the surface. This clamps the surface, smooths it out and spreads the pebbles evenly over the whole area.

As the surface dries, you may see that it has cracked in places, which is perfectly normal and we will show you how to correct this. You will need a spray bottle with water and a longer-haired, scrubbing brush.

First, wet the entire surface with the sprayer and then lightly scrub in a circular motion until the split areas are filled with the mixture.

Once dry, take a sponge, wet it with water and wring out the excess. With a light and plastic motion, stroke the surface with the sponge until the pebbles are slightly exposed and their colour becomes apparent. After these steps, allow the surface to dry.

That's it! Remember, you choose the mix you want to use to plaster your walls, and today we have chosen your favourite Light Sand 13.

Good luck with your walls!
